In keeping with the natural environment, homes on the estate are built according to architectural specifications and themed with thatched roofs and natural exterior wall colours to blend into the bushveld surroundings.  These guidelines are aimed at reducing the environmental footprint on the estate and maintaining a natural surround for each homestead.   A list of Rules has been drawn up to maintain an authentic character based on a game lodge appearance.  The purpose of these rules is to set out how homeowners and their visitors Estate should conduct themselves both within the confines of residential Portions and the rest of the Estate to provide a high-quality lifestyle within a secure, natural, and well-managed wildlife Estate. 

Some of the architectural guidelines and rules include, and in no particular order:

  • Exterior walls must be painted and plastered in neutral colours to blend in with the bushveld surroundings.

  • To maintain optimal privacy, double storey's may not be erected.

  • Only thatch roofing is allowed.

  • Only indigenous plants on residential portions are allowed, and no exotic plants are allowed anywhere on the estate.

  • The pool size is limited to 16sqm for the benefit of the wildlife surroundings.

  • Only pedestrians and bicycles may traverse footpaths on the estate.

  • The speed limit on the estate is strictly 30km/hour and all wildlife has the right of way.

  • Wildlife on the Estate must not be chased, hunted, shot, trapped, fished, or molested and interfered with in any way whatsoever.​

  • Collection of any wood, stones, fauna, flora, or the remains for fauna on the estate is not permitted.

  • Any activity causing aggravation or nuisance to other persons and interfering with the tranquil nature of the estate is not allowed.

  • Domestic animals/pets, feral animals or domesticated wild animals, whether caged or note, are not permitted on the estate.​

  • ​Short term rentals are not allowed. Long term rentals are allowed from 30 days plus.

  • Commercial activity is not allowed.

  • Feeding of wildlife is strictly prohibited.
